I'm short on time right now, but I think this video speaks for itself. Enjoy!

Weekend music video to mosh to: Revocation's 'ReaniManiac"
I have expressed my love of Revocation in the past, but here is another music video in case you missed the three-piece thrash machine in action. The riff at around 2:10 is total win.

Metal For Your Brain: Brain Drill's "Beyond Bludgeoned" Music Video
Not much to add here, other than that this new Brain Drill track is melting my brain! Sure I may feel a bit bludgeoned by the tech death genre itself, but I appreciate interesting music when I hear it.
"Beyond Bludgeoned" comes off Quantum Catastrophe, which is due out on May 11th.

"Priests of Sodom" is a Cannibal Corpse Classic
Evisceration Plague is hands-down one of the best modern death metal albums out there (it made it to #3 on my 2009 year end list too).
Cannibal Corpse just released this video of the opening track "Priests of Sodom," which is one of the fastest and most technical songs on the album.
Crank up the music and watch below.

Charred Walls of the Damned: "Ghost Town"
I already have the new album from the Charred Walls of the Damned supergroup featuring drummer Richard Christy (Death), vocalist Tim "Ripper" Owens (Beyond Fear, Iced Earth, Judas Priest) and bassist Steve DiGiorgio (Death, Control Denied, Testament) on my home computer and iPod (legally of course!).
What you may be wondering is, is it actually any good? As of right now, I have to say it will definitely satisfy the later Death fans in sheer technicality and Ripper sings his ass off. However, the songs somehow fail to stick into my brain like a good song should.
I feel like this is one of those albums that takes repeat listens to appreciate though. Strangely enough I find myself liking the "slower" songs better than some of the fast ones...
You can check out a brand new video for the first "single," "Ghost Town" below. I can say that if you like this track, there are far better ones on the album.

METSATÖLL's Folk Metal Art
I noticed the dudes over at Decibel Magazine posted this video on their blog. I don't think I've written much on folk metal and am not as knowledgeable on the topic as some, but this video is definitely a work of art.
Check it out.

Finntroll Frolics in the Forest
It's Friday so I'm about done doin' work. But here is a the new Finntroll video for you all, called "Solsagan".
The video is a bit stereotypical of the black metal genre, but the song is pretty good (and at least it's not completely cheesy). Nifelvind arrives in the US on Tuesday, March 9.

Slipknot "Lite" Now with only 55 calories!

Wait a minute bartender I ordered a Budweiser!
The new Slipknot video for the song "Snuff" has been making its rounds on the Internet and I finally checked it out just now.
I got into the whole Slipknot game late and I'm not a huge fan or anything, but these seems like a perfect example of a band forgetting their history and isolating fans. I'm not one of those dudes who calls every band a sell-out for not making each album 100% brutal, but "Snuff" is just a lame ballad. Period.
(And I don't give a shit that there is cross-dressing or whatever, that's fine if the song is good).
From what I have gathered about Slipknot, who I have followed over the years, is that their fans are loyal to a band that was all about getting out anger and rage with insane live shows. This song live would be a total mood killer and if you are going for the cleaner melodic stuff, Corey Taylor's other band Stone Sour does it better than this.
Right now, it appears Slipknot has stretched its style too far, and hopefully (if the band ever releases another album) they will get back to a full-on aggressive album, then call it quits if they want to do the arena rock anthems.
But that's just my opinion. An example of Slipknot doing what it does best can be seen below.
P.S. If you want to see Slipknot's video for "Snuff", check it out here.

Not-so-metal News Update
KISS finally released a music video for "Modern Day Delilah". A little late, but it's still a decent rock tune and the video shows off the live show, although it feels like it has been done many times before.

Megadeth: "Headcrusher" Music Video
Whoa! It's double Dave on The Metal Show blog!
"Headcrusher" is definitely a thrashin' good time, even if this video is using the overdone MMA thing. But he definitely puts a spin on it with prisoners and the whole women empowerment thing.

EVILE: "Infected Nation" Video
Damn, EVILE release a cool new video for "Infected Nation" that looks and sounds straight out of the 80's (with some modern elements of course). This whole thrash revival thing is bringing out some great bands, let's just hope there isn't a grunge revival after this.
Don't say Alice In Chain's new album will do it or you lose. AIC is more than just another grunge band.
Enjoy the video below and check out "Infected Nations" when it comes out on September 22.

Killswitch Engage Start Over
Killswitch Engage released the video for their first single "Starting Over" today. It's definitely not an amazing metal tune, but it makes me more interested in hearing the self-titled album out on June 30. I do like the Maiden-esque gallop riffs and the material sounds like it could be the best of the Howard Jones-era stuff.

As I Lay Dying: "I Never Wanted" Video
Check out the music video for the song "I Never Wanted" off of As I Lay Dying's album "An Ocean Between Us".
By now everyone has grown tired of this metalcore business, but these guys do it right and have some good live energy. Their DVD "This is Who We Are" is out now.
P.S. Check out this news about a Dimmu Borgir comic??? I guess black metal musicians will make good comic book characters!

New Sepultura Video We've Lost You
Sepultura recently released a new video for the song We've Lost You off of the album A-lex. It has some A Clockwork Orange themes going on, and is a decent mid-tempo metal tune. Check it out below.
