Exodus Release seizure-inducing "Downfall" music video

Exodus' new video for "Downfall" can be 'seizure-inducing,' - for those prone to get seizures that is (no joke). So if you don't fall into that category, enjoy the video.

I haven't been able to spend as much time listening to the new Exodus album, Exhibit B: The Human Condition as I'd like, but there are some solid tracks on there (some are just still a little too long for their own good, but it's still above average thrash).

As for the video, it's a bit ridiculous towards the end, with death-by-gavel smash, but has a sort of '80s feel with the dudes headbanging on the jury. I also think the song shows off some of Gary Holt's ability to take influences from newer metal genres (like metalcore) and incorporate it into his thrash repertoire. Good stuff.

UPDATE: Oh and as a 2-for-1 video bonus, also below is the latest video from Evergreen Terrace. Yes the music does have a bit of a trendy metalcore feel, but these guys' are really into their music, and after chatting with some of them / seeing em' live, the group puts on an energetic show every time.

Coming Soon: Forbidden and Exodus Albums

Forbidden just announced the name of its new album, although there still isn't a set release date (it's likely to be sometime in 2010). The name of the disc is Omega Wave, which sounds cool to me.

Also don't forget that Exodus' album, Exhibit B: The Human Condition drops May 18. Not forcing you to go out and buy em', but should be some solid thrash metal from both parties.

On a side note:

I still am not sure about the whole music industry business model. Some of the labels are putting out reasonable packages like the one below, but if you are selling a straight CD with no bonuses no one is going to buy it at $12 or even $10.

The industry needs to find a way to cut costs and get those prices down or it is screwed. Or instead, reward loyal buyers with cool stuff, like T-shirts, or even just posters or other cool things.

New Exodus "Hammer and Life" Demo Online! Have a Metal Weekend!

If I was a betting man I would say the new Exodus album Exhibit B: The Human Condition is going to kick all kinds of ass. Judging by the new track, "Hammer and Life" that is a fairly safe bet to make.

The new song rips and sounds like it could be a modern thrash classic. Hopefully the whole album will be this good! (Exhibit B is set to release on May 18.

Listen to "Hammer and Life" on the band's MySpace now, or just hit play below and rock out!

And most importantly have a great weekend, it is Spring Break around these Iowa City parts, so I will definitely be enjoying some time off (but will try and keep updating the blog in my spare time.

UPDATE: Another new tune, "Class Dismissed (A Hate Primer)" is now on the band's MySpace. Exodus is two-for-two so far!

Exodus 'Exhibits' Some Badass Art

I have heard a lot of good things from the guys in Exodus about the upcoming album, Exhibit B: The Human Condition, so lets hope it kicks as much ass as the album cover.

A skeleton with uzis, grenades, a pistol, a machete and even more explosives is about as metal as it gets.

Maybe Exodus can come up with something as good as Shovel Headed Kill Machine this time around? Who knows?

Oh, in addition, Lazarus A.D. (aka Exodus Jr.) released a new action-packed video for the song "Absolute Power" which you can check out below.
