John 5 Shreddin'

Check this dude out. John 5 is the current guitar player for Rob Zombie and he was previously in Marilyn Manson. He is the next in line for awesome guitar shredders. He has gotten praise from Satch, Vai and Gilbert. That makes him most awesome in my book!

Oh, and if you don't know who Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and Paul Gilbert are, do some brushing up on your guitarist knowledge man!

Rubbish, depsite if he's had backing from the three legends. That clip was bad, there were a couple of vai licks thrown in there. I don't play well at all, but even I could pull off something like that once you through on a bundle of effects.
Sorry, not convinced.

Hey, an actual opinion on the blog comments!

Ha, I wouldn't judge John 5 by just one clip. Obviously that solo seems to be more along the line of the "generic crowd pleasing" variety.

He also plays a bit of Eruption and the National Anthem at the end, which have become kind of overused as far as solos go.

You should definitely check out his MySpace and actual solo stuff before you knock him completely. He doesn't just do the full effects laden solos, he goes all over the place incorporating country and other genres into his sound.

He's a decent guitarist! This is not his best, and should see more vids of him.

men I don't know why in that time a person like Marylin Manson recived soo many attention, I mean I like one or two songs, but the rest of the production...and how dare you to put side by side to Rob Zombie.
