Whatever happened to 'Metalocalypse'?

For the fans of Metalocalypse, it seemed pretty damn mysterious when the show suddenly stopped showing new episodes about halfway into what would be a normal television season. This is understandable, as not many cartoon show creators also go on tour between episode writing and songwriting, but at least let us know what's up!

Finally, we can rest easier knowing that Metalocalypse will return this Sunday at 11:30 p.m. Central time (12:30 p.m. Eastern, you might want to double check all of these times), on Comedy Central's Adult Swim.

Let's hope for some solid episodes to close out the forgotten third season, with more to come afterwards.

Metalocalypse Season 3 Begins Tonight!

That's right, everyone's favorite metal cartoon on Adult Swim is back and it airs at 11:30 p.m. CST. The new episodes are now a half hour long (although there will probably be commercials now), so hopefully the transition is smooth.

Season 2 started out kind of slow, but the last half was hilarious, so hopefully Brendon Small took his time for this season and continues to deliver more of the same.

UPDATE: New episode had some pretty funny moments overall, but was a little slow in parts. Looks like they are going to actually develop the story more this time around, which could be cool. I look forward to seeing how the season turns out.

Dethklok Return with "Bloodlines"

New Metalocalypse Fall 2009!

The latest rumors say that a new Metalocalypse album will be out Fall 2009 and then shortly after a the third season will start up on Adult Swim. The last half of season 2 was killer, so hopefully the third will be more of the same metal hilarity.

No rumor. As per Adult Swim:

Dethalbum II will be out Sept. 8th.

Season 3 will begin in November.

2nd tour will possibily be in October.

Dark Horse Comics will be releasing a one-shot comic, The Goon Vs Dethklok on July 22nd with a Metalocalypse comic "later 2009".
